NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF WRITERS’ GROUPS
Launched in 1995, the above association has some 150 affiliated groups. With its own newsletter – Link Magazine – is keeps its members well informed on events, comps, etc.
The association organises writing festivals and has free competitions. Membership is £30 plus £5 registration. See http://www.nawg.co.uk

BLOOMSBURY PUBLISHERS
Bloomsbury Publishers have a useful writers’ area that may be worth a visit. Features include a reference search engine, guides for writers, lists of agents and a reading club.

WRITEWORDS
This is a writers’ community site. It is packed full of info on courses, competitions, etc, plus it has regular interviews with writers, and news updates.
Log on http://www.writewords.org.uk . Full sign up is £35 a year, but there are reduced rates for reduced services. Also includes a number of blogs.

TOOWRITE
Have you tried http://www.toowrite.com? This site allows you to submit up to five true stories. Free to enter, they occasionally pay £1,000 for the best story. Stories can be up 1,500 words long, so get writing today. And remember, they must be true.
Of late, TooWrite have also decided to accept fictional short stories for competitions. See the site for deadlines and entry rules.

ROSEDOG
RoseDog.com is a US site dedicated to bringing writers to agents to publishers. A manuscript showcase, it has 12,000+ writer members and over 200 agents/publishers who supposedly read what’s on offer. Membership is just under 25 dollars. http://rosedog.com

WRITERS’ COLLEGE
