election.jpg Well isn’t David Cameron a clever boy, then. At the conservative Party conference he did a whole speech off the cuff. Of course, he had to point it out; although he didn’t point out the hours he would have spent rehearsing it.
David, actors do this all the time.
Still, it wasn’t a bad speech. He got some good points out. But the trouble is, it wasn’t a good speech either.
Oh dear.
The reality is, if Gordon Brown is about to call an election, Cameron has done nothing to persuade the Tory grassroots to return to the fold. Platitudes of the importance of family, and better deals on inheritance will not do it.
Hence, votes will be thrown away as the disenchanted and disenfranchised ‘right’ offer a protest vote to the ridiculous UKIP and BNP. And wasting votes on far right parties is always a dangerous idea.
